Detailed Introduction
Rozgłośnia Błyskawica ("Lightning Station") was an underground radio station operated by the Polish resistance during the Warsaw Uprising in 1944. Established by the Home Army (Armia Krajowa), it began broadcasting on August 8, 1944, and continued until October 4, 1944. The station provided news, morale-boosting messages, and information about the uprising to both Warsaw inhabitants and the international community. It was one of the few resistance radio stations in occupied Europe and became a symbol of defiance against Nazi Germany. Broadcasts were conducted in both Polish and English to reach a wider audience.
