Detailed Introduction
Rádio Club was the first radio station in Brazil and began broadcasting on September 7, 1922, in Rio de Janeiro. It was established as part of the Brazilian Centennial Exposition and initially operated under the name Rádio Sociedade do Rio de Janeiro. The station was founded by cultural figures such as Edgar Roquette-Pinto, often called the "father of Brazilian radio," and Henrique Morize. Rádio Club played a significant role in popularizing radio as a medium in Brazil, focusing on educational and cultural programming. Over time, it evolved into part of Brazil's broader radio history and development.
