Alternative Radio (AR) is a weekly, independent radio program based in Boulder, Colorado, that focuses on political, social, and environmental issues. It was founded in 1986 by journalist David Barsamian, who continues to produce and host the program. AR provides a platform for progressive voices and features talks, interviews, and lectures by activists, academics, and public intellectuals. The program is distributed to over 150 radio stations across the United States and internationally.
