The Beat

The Beat was a rebranded name used by several Canadian radio stations, primarily focused on rhythmic and contemporary hit music. Notable stations that carried "The Beat" branding included CFBT-FM in Vancouver, which launched in 2002, and CKBT-FM in Kitchener, which adopted the name in 2004. Over time, some of these stations transitioned to new brand identities, such as Virgin Radio or other formats.
