M40 Mashup

M40 was a French radio station that launched on July 6, 1992, as a collaboration between the NRJ Group, CLT (Compagnie Luxembourgeoise de Télédiffusion), and RMC. The station primarily focused on a Top 40 format, playing contemporary hits targeting a young audience. It operated for a relatively short period before rebranding to RTL2 on March 22, 1995, following a restructuring by its parent companies. The transition marked a shift in programming toward more pop-rock music content.
