The Power Pig - Power 93 FM was the branding for WFLZ-FM, a radio station in Tampa, Florida, that gained prominence in the late 1980s and early 1990s. It launched its "Power Pig" identity in 1989, aimed at competing with local rival WRBQ-FM (Q105), adopting an aggressive, irreverent Top 40/CHR (Contemporary Hit Radio) format. The station's marketing featured edgy, attention-grabbing promotions and slogans, quickly earning it a large, youthful audience. WFLZ eventually dropped the "Power Pig" branding in the mid-1990s but remains a popular Top 40 station under the name 93.3 FLZ.
