Detailed Introduction
Estación XLW was the first radio station in Argentina and one of the earliest in the world. It began operations on August 27, 1920, in Buenos Aires, with a historic live broadcast of Richard Wagner's opera *Parsifal* from the Teatro Coliseo. The station was founded by Enrique Susini, César Guerrico, Luis Romero Carranza, and Miguel Mujica, a group later known as "Los Locos de la Azotea" (The Madmen of the Rooftop). XLW marked the beginning of regular radio broadcasting in Argentina, which eventually became a significant cultural and social medium in the country. The station's success paved the way for the development of radio as a mass communication tool in Argentina and beyond.
