County Sound Radio was a local independent radio station based in Guildford, Surrey, England. It launched on 4 April 1983, serving Surrey and northeast Hampshire with a mix of music, news, and local programming. In 1988, the station split its FM and AM frequencies, creating County Sound Premier on FM and County Sound Gold on AM. Over the years, the station underwent various mergers and rebranding, eventually becoming part of the Eagle Radio group. It ceased to exist under the County Sound name following further rebranding and consolidation of local radio services.
