Freedom Radio was a British clandestine radio station that operated during World War II. It was run by the British Special Operations Executive (SOE) as a form of black propaganda aimed at undermining Nazi Germany. Its programming included fake news reports, subversive commentary, and morale-damaging messages. The broadcasts were carefully crafted to appear credible while promoting Allied objectives.
